Leigh Nash Announces Initial Round of Spring Tour Dates, Prepares For Feb. 11th Debut at Grand Ole Opry

Tour and Opry debut follow on heels of diverse, critically-adored Americana release The Tide, Vol. 1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 28, 2022) — Fresh from her appearance at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Florida, Leigh Nash has announced more than a dozen dates from her upcoming Spring tour.

A critically-acclaimed solo artist whose "angelic, unmistakable voice" (Rolling Stone) propelled her first band, Sixpence None the Richer, to the top of the pop charts with "Kiss Me," Nash will spend the first part of 2022 traveling throughout much of New England, the Midwest and the Southeast. Along the way, she will make her Grand Ole Opry debut in her adopted hometown of Nashville on Saturday, February 11th. The Opry appearance marks another milestone for a lifelong entertainer who recorded her first platinum-certified album more than two decades ago, while still a teenager.

“I am so thrilled to be playing the Opry!" says Nash, who made her solo debut with 2006's Blue on Blue before expanding her sound (and earning her first Top 40 country album) with 2015's The State I'm In. "Honestly, I never thought I would! Being in a pop band and the last 7 years or so, making inroads in my first love, Country Music, this is truly an honor and I am MORE than thankful!"

Nash's upcoming shows will include songs like the social justice anthem "Good Trouble" (which she recorded with duet partner Ruby Amafu, following the death of civil rights activist John Lewis) as well as other tracks from The Tide, Vol. 1. Released in September 2021, The Tide, Vol. 1 was heralded as one of the year's most diverse Americana releases, with collaborators like Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker, gospel icon CeCe Winans, legendary Mavericks frontman Raul Malo, and husband Stephen Wilson Jr. all making appearances. "Each track serves to further reveal Nash’s diversity as a performer and heart as a storyteller," praised MusicRow, with outlets like American Songwriter and People Magazine enthusiastically premiering the album's tracks.

"Playing shows is like an extension of my mind, body and soul. I feel like I’m flying when I’m able to connect with audiences. It’s more about them than me. It’s my purpose, my “why” connection. And I am so thankful to be doing it again!" adds Nash.
